Imago: A movement masterclass with Oliver Smart
The creation of Dragonfly - Imago will be exploited as a tool to uncover how the medium of puppetry can be employed within mechanical prototyping, design and animation.
Oliver’s process treats the subject within nature as a complex, mechanical/poetic text which through annotated observation and physical expression will allow a dynamic shifting essence of itself to be communicated.
The considerations of interface, communication and empathy have been rooted at the centre of puppetry practise for many thousands of years.
The object is liberated from the functional and in this freedom can express life.

MRI Space Shuttle
Our collaboration with Eva Loth (Senior Lecturer in Psychology) at the Sackler Institute of Translational Neurodevelopment, Kings College London, goes from strength to strength; with the workshop busy creating four more of our MRI Space Shuttle environments as a central component for a future pan-European study into the brain development of pre-school children on the Autism spectrum.
Puppet Psychotherapy
Murmerations: Journal of Transformative Systemic Practice has published online a film interview between the Systemic Psychotherapist Mark Huhnen and some of our most colourful characters.
They discuss their relationship to themselves, their audiences and reveal how they understand their existence.
